Hubert Lee Pool Sr.

Hubert Lee Pool, Sr., 82, of Little Rock, Arkansas was born in Austin, Arkansas, May 10, 1930 to the late Arthur and Blanch Pool. In 1951, he met Bonnie Willcox on a blind date. A few short months later they married. He was a member of Geyer Springs United Methodist Church. Hubert served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War. He retired from Canteen Food and Vending where he worked for 37 years. Hubert is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Bonnie; his parents; sister-in-law, Ruth (Garvin) Goyne; sister-in-law, Ethel Riggin; sister, Pearl (Jesse) Wheeler; brother, Raymond (Muriel) Pool; brother-in-law, Cecil Marshall and great grandson, Matthew Jones. He is survived by his sister, Ruby Mae Marshall; brother-in-law, Ed Riggin; brother-in-law, J.J. Willcox; children, Kathy Rodgers; Lee (Kathy) Pool; David (Debbie) Pool; grandchildren: Ellie (Michael) Jones; Jacob (Elizabeth) Rodgers; Tiffany (Justin) Dreher; Rachel Pool; Kristin Pool; Magan Pool; Nathan Sutton; Bobby (Chelsea) Ballinger; Michelle (Tim) Smith; great grandchildren: Christopher; Jeremy and Taylor Rodgers; Zoe Watson; Maranda, Katelyn, Bradlee and Jessica Jones; Olivia and Mason Dreher; Parker and Aubrey Pool; Kaden and Carter Ballinger and Elizabeth; Jamie and Skylar Smith; and one aunt, Corinne George. Other family and special friends, Marie Hinton; Michelle Leatherwood; Kenny (Brenda) Rodgers and Kendra, Lisa (Robert) Martin and Brittany; Jennifer Morrow. Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Geyer Springs United Methodist Church with Dr. Reverend Candace Barron officiating. Interment to follow at 16th Section Cemetery in Austin, Arkansas.
