George Nestor Dickerson

Major George Nestor Dickerson, USAF (Ret), beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away on Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at the age of 86. Maj. Dickerson was born and raised in Conway, Ark. and was a 1944 graduate of Conway High School. While attending East Texas Teachers College, he met the love of his life, Vera Lee Stanford, whom he married on Sept. 3, 1950. George was preceded in death by his wife, Vera Lee Dickerson; parents, Foster and Jean Dickerson; brothers, Foster Rod Dickerson, II and Jean K. Dickerson. He is survived by his daughters, Diana L. Morff, Caroline J. Phillips and Annette Cooper; grandsons, Patrick A. Stewart and Larry D. Knight Jr. and great-grandchildren, Reanna Hart and Scarlett Lynn Knight. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 31 at Porter Loring North on 1604.
