JAMES C. ARCHER SR., 72, of North Little Rock, passed away Friday, Jan. 25, 2013. He was born in England, Ark. to the late Leo Herbert and Lois Edith Freeman Archer. James served as a Pulaski County Sheriff's Deputy for two years and worked in the auto parts industry with Crow-Burlingame Co. for forty years before retiring. He is preceded in death by his parents, one son, James C. Archer Jr., and his sister, Faye Dean Sain. He is survived by his wife, Jean Stanphill Archer; two sons, Scott (Stacey) Archer of Fort Smith, and Darin Todd (Lisa) Archer of Texarkana, Ark.; daughter-in-law, Vicki Archer of North Little Rock; 12 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, Ark. (501-791-7400). Graveside service will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, at Bayou Meto Cemetery, Hwy 107, Jacksonville, Ark., with Pastor Phillip McClure officiating. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up for James supporting the North Little Rock Police Athletic League at Centennial Bank and donations may be made to the James Archer Memorial Fund, Attention: Lisa, at any Centennial Bank location.
