F.E. "Pete" Wylie, 75, of Cabot went to be with his Lord on Monday, July 1, 2013. He was born June 19, 1938 in Cabot to the late Elmer Homer and Florence Turnbow Wylie. Mr. Wylie was a lineman for GTE for 18 years. He was a member of the Optimist Club and of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, Mr. Wylie was preceded in death by his sisters, Donie W. Goforth, Thelma Buchanan Roach, and Doris W. Roach and his brother, Lowman Wylie. Mr. Wylie is survived by his wife of 53 years, Hazel Keister Wylie; and their children, Tony Gene Wylie, Tamra Wylie Gray and her husband, James and Terri Wylie Detar all of Cabot; his precious granddaughters, Magen Gray Walton and her husband, David, Heather Gray Glover and her husband, Jason, Haley Dawn Wylie and Brittani Erin Detar; and his great granddaughters and greatest joys of his life, Makaylea Erin Walton and Harlee Jayde Glover; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, July 6, 2013 in the chapel of Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Brother Tom Heffner will officiate the services.
