Gary Gene Pitts

Gary Gene Pitts, 78, of Bauxite, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2013. He was born July 23, 1934 in Benton to the late Luther Wesley and Winnie Moore Pitts. Gary was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Bob Pitts. He was a member of the 1st Baptist Church in Benton and retired from Arkansas Face and Veneer after 29 years. Gary loved camping, Nascar, the Razorbacks and his two dogs, Jack and Jill. Survivors, wife, Ludie Kidd Pitts, Benton, sons, Jeff Willis of Benton, Danny Luther Pitts of Benton, daughter, Vicki Diane Lamb, Bakersfield, California, brother, Bernard Pitts of Benton, 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Chapel services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 2 p.m. Friday with Dr. Rick Grant officiating. Burial will follow at New Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be at Ashby's, 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Friday before service time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
