Willie O. Shelnut

Willie O. Shelnut, 86, of Benton, died July 8, 2013. She was born on April 15, 1927 in Delight, Ark. to the late Mate and Mettie Pipkins. Besides her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Hershel A. Shelnut, one son, Russell A. Shelnut, four brothers, and two sisters. She retired from the Benton Services Center and was of the Baptist Faith. She is survived by one son, Dowayne Shelnut and his wife Diane, of Benton, three grandsons, Eric Shelnut (Stacye), Kirk Shelnut, and Jason Shelnut, and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at 4 p.m., at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home Chapel (315-4047) with Eric Shelnut and Bro. Paul Stevens officiating. Interment will follow in Hicks Cemetery. Pallbearers are Mitchell Shelnut, Mark Shelnut, Joey Shelnut, Larry Crocker, Rob Little, and Gary Robbins. Honorary pallbearers are Randy Shelnut, Ralph Shelnut, Tracy Williamson, and Robert Little. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at the funeral home.
