Mildred L. Mullins, age 66, of Hot Springs, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, July 09, 2013. Mildred was born on January 11, 1947 in Hot Springs, the daughter of Cecil Albert Flowers Sr. and Odelia Pouge Flowers, who both preceded her in death. She married Sam Mullins on July 24, 1964. Mildred was a deeply committed Christian woman, who loved and nurtured the children she came in contact with. She cherished and enriched her family through her life and actions. Mildred taught love through interaction with all people. Everyone felt the love she brought to their lives by knowing her, just as her grandchildren sparkled in her own eyes. She was a member of Center Fork Baptist Church and a retired first grade teacher at Lake Hamilton. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Sam Mullins of Hot Springs; her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Michael and Lori Mullins of Royal; her daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Shawn King of Pearcy; four grandchildren, Duncan Mullins, Calis Mullins, Tanner King and Cassidy King; her two brothers and sister-in-law, Albert and Maureen Flowers of Hot Springs and Robert Flowers of Spokane, Washington; nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 11, 2013 in the Center Fork Baptist Church with Bro. Lynn Baxter officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service on Thursday, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs. Pallbearers will be Jim Moore, Ronnie Inman, Billy Williams, Mark Smith, Bill Terry, Ralph Wacaster and Tom Ledbetter. Honorary pallbearers will be First Grade Teachers of Lake Hamilton, ICU staff at National Park Medical Center and her Center Fork Church Family.
