FREDIA MAE BILKEY, 83, of Sherwood, was born April 13, 1930 in Poplar Bluff, Mo. and passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, July 18, 2013. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 66 years, Thomas Bilkey; and her children, Sondra Bilkey of Sherwood and Diana Ketcheside (Ernest) of Georgetown, Texas; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; as well as a dear cousin who was like a sister to her, Pauline Hampton. She was an active member of Sherwood First Church of the Nazarene for over 30 years where she taught Sunday School and led the Jr. Choir. She volunteered with the church food Pantry and received the Distinguished Missionary Service Award for the Nazarene Church. She was a Realtor with Northside Reality for a number of years and in 1972 she took flying lessons and flew a Cessna 150 solo. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 22, 2013 from 5-7 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home in North Little Rock, 7724 Landers Road with funeral services on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Sherwood First Church of the Nazarene.
