James Martin Mahan, 74, of Hot Springs went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, July 26, 2013. He was a retired employee of Reynolds Metals in Benton, Arkansas and a veteran of the United States Navy. James is survived by his wife of 54 years, Geneva Mahan; three children Deborah Speer of Amity, Teresa Hampel of Benton, and Martin Mahan of Greenwood; six brothers, Bobby Coker of Benton, Bill Coker of Perryville, Larry Mahan of Sherwood, Eddie Mahan of Chatsworth, Ga., Jerry Mahan of Rocky Face, Ga., and David Mahan of Fort Oglethorpe, Ga.; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Amy Gunter and Roscoe Mahan; sister Shirley Ann Mahan and brothers Calvin, Johnny and C.J. Mahan. The family would like to thank Odyssey Hospice and Quapaw Nursing and Rehab for their compassionate care. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home on Section Line Road in Hot Springs. The burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park in Hot Springs.
