Clara Ellen Bacheller Henry, 94, of Stuttgart passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013, at Heartland Health and Rehab in Benton. Mrs. Henry was born December 9, 1918, in Haglar, Arkansas, to Hiram W. Bacheller and Mary Lee Chaddic Bacheller. A Stuttgart High School graduate, she became a homemaker after working as a colonel's stenographer at Camp Robinson during World War II. She cared deeply for her family and, especially at Christmas, she planned and worked for days to insure their enjoyment. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Stuttgart where she worked with children in church for many years. She faithfully attended Women's Missionary Service and church meetings until her health failed. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Dianne; and a sister, Irene Cummins Greene. Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Seth E. Henry; two daughters, Mary Alice McGraw and husband Tracy of Stuttgart and Martha Ellen Davis and husband Tom of Benton; five grandchildren, Melissa Campbell and husband Allen of Little Rock, Gavin McGraw and wife Renee of Hot Springs, Megan Frisby and husband Michael of Bryant, Ashlee Cross and husband Josh of Fayetteville and Jeff Davis of Fayetteville; and nine great-grandchildren, Aiden and Colin Frisby, Emma and Ava McGraw, Lucas Campbell and Madelyn, Jillian, Wyatt and Joshua Cross. Funeral services, officiated by Dr. Sam Roberts, are 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church with visitation at 1 p.m. preceding the service in the fellowship hall. Burial will follow in Lone Tree Cemetery by Turpin Funeral Home of Stuttgart. "Loving hands have done all they can for her, now we commend her to You."
