John Marion Young

John Young, of Benton, passed away Monday, July 29, 2013.Born in Little Rock, Arkansas on September 17, 1927 to the late Levi and Mamie Young. John was a retired Truck Drive for Montgomery Ward. He was a member of Sharon Baptist Church. In Little Rock. John is preceded in death by his wife Helen Jo Young; his parents; one son, Bill Young, grandson Mark Thomas Miles, two brother Elbert and Delbert Young, two sisters, Gertrude Pinkerton, and Ila Vivian Ellis. He is survived by his three daughters; Marilyn Miles of Jonesboro, Brenda Watson, (Steve) of Benton and Glenda Tankersley (Kenneth) of N. Little Rock, Arkansas; six grandchildren; Robin McMillan, Matthew Miles, Paul Miles, Lisa Young, Jonathan Miles and John Watson. Six great-grandchildren; three sisters; Lola Fargo, of Georgia, Carolyn Simpson, of Little Rock, Patricia Griffin, of Little Rock; one brother Bill "Eugene' Young, of Heber Springs. Funeral service will be 2: p.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home Chapel, 10900 Interstate 30, Little Rock, Arkansas (501) 455-5800. with Brother Paul Miles officiating, burial will follow at James Cemetery in Benton, Arkansas.
