Thomas Earl Hayden

Thomas Earl "Mink" Hayden, age 87 of North Little Rock passed away peacefully July 29, 2013 at Hospice Home Care, 2200 South Bowman, Little Rock, surrounded by his family. Thomas was born in Mesquite, Texas, a son of Thomas Jefferson and Marie Hayden. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Glenn L. and I.R. Hayden. Thomas served in World War II, worked many years as an Ironworker in Local #481 in Dallas, Texas and Industrial Contractor's of Little Rock. Thomas belonged to American Legion #1. He is survived by his loving wife of over 60 years, Minnie; daughter, Valarie (Michael), of Garland, Texas; four sons, Max (Loretta) of Rockwall, Texas, Gene (Pam) of Madison, Mississippi, Craig (Lee) of Kentucky and Kyle (Gail) of North Little Rock; twelve grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Paula Levi of Ft. Worth, Texas and a host of extended family and friends. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice Home Care, 2200 South Bowman, Little Rock, Arkansas 72211. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Services will be at the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Barry Wingfield officiating at 10 a.m., Thursday. Interment with military honors will follow at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
