James Frank Cotton, Jr., 63, of Austin died Wednesday, June 5, 2013. He was born March 20, 1950 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to the late James Frank Cotton, Sr. and Zara Louise Smith Cotton. Frank was a graduate of Denham Springs, LA High School. He worked in the trucking industry for over 30 years. He was a member of Country Chapel and became an ordained minister in 1997. Frank enjoyed gardening and woodworking as well as spending time with his grandchildren. He was happiest when he was outdoors and often told stories of fishing with his father as a young boy. Frank loved the time spent as his daughter's softball coach and continued to support his "weekend daughters" until his passing. He loved LSU Tiger athletics and bled Purple and Gold. In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his sister, Deborah Cotton-King. Mr. Cotton is survived by his wife, Sharon Cotton of Austin; his daughter, Brooke Cotton of Cabot; his step-children, Teresa Smith of El Paso, Sunnie Skeem of Beebe and Tony Wheat of Wynne; his brother, C. Randy Cotton (Diana) of Benton, Mississippi; his grandchildren, Misty Jones, Erika Smith, Jamie Murphy, Riley Smith, Kasey McWhorter and Tanner Wheat; 11 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews, James and Cameron Cotton and Christopher Shain King. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home (501) 843-5816. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Country Chapel, 3000 Hwy. 321 N., Ward, AR with Pastor Steve Zumalt officiating. Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Grangeville Baptist Church Cemetery in Pine Grove, Louisiana.
