Mr. Ronald Wayne McCorkle, age 60, of Flippin, Arkansas, formerly of Columbus, Arkansas, passed away Thursday June 6, 2013 at his home in Flippin. He was born on October 13, 1952, in Nashville, Arkansas, to Joe and Minnie Lee Jeanes McCorkle. He was retired from Brown and Root Construction and was self employed as a real estate developer. Mr. McCorkle was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, James Dean and Danny Steve McCorkle, and four sisters, Martha Medvidovich, Eva Jewel Nations, Florence Wilkerson and Ruby Prisock. Mr. McCorkle is survived by a son Chris Thomason and wife Penny of Hope, a grandson Allen Thomason of Hope, a twin sister Donna Hammon and husband Gerald of Flippin, a sister, Janie Hipp and husband Dewey of Mineral Springs, Arkansas, a brother, Ray McCorkle and wife Sandra of Hooks, Texas, a uncle, Odell Jeanes of Nashville, Arkansas, numerous other family members and a host of friends. Funeral service for Mr. McCorkle will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, at the Brazzel/Oakcrest Chapel in Hope, Bro. Tim Freel officiating. Burial will follow at Columbus Cemetery in Columbus.
