William Edward Smith

Mr. William Edward Smith, 29, of Hamburg died Saturday, June 8, 2013 in Monticello, Arkansas. William was a native and lifelong resident of Hamburg and he graduated from Hamburg High School in 2003. He was a heavy equipment operator on the pipe line and a member of the First Baptist Church of Hamburg. William was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved being with his family and friends especially his nephews. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred LaGrone and John D. & Evelyn White Smith. He is survived by his mother, Pam LaGrone Smith of Hamburg; his father and step-mother, Johnny & Belle Smith of Moselle, Mississippi; a brother, John Smith and wife, Tara, of Monticello; his grandmother, Ila Gates LaGrone of Hamburg; three nephews, Wyatt & Maddox Smith and Collin Cobb a step brother, Chris Rogers of Moselle, Mississippi; a step sister, Michelle Cobb of Petal, Mississippi; aunts, Kay LaGrone Smith of Flower Mound, Texas; Camille Carpenter and husband, Jackie, of Perryville and a very close family of cousins. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Bobby Pennington and Rev. Jimmy Wallace officiating. Burial will be in the Hamburg Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, P.O.
