Nathan Earl Gentry, 70, of Mayflower, passed from this life in Dallas, Texas, on Tuesday, June 11, 2013. Born in Conway, Arkansas, he was a son to Luther Preston and Ida Mable Adkinson Gentry. Nathan will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. Nathan worked at Remington Arms as a mechanical engineer. Nathan dedicated his life to Jesus Christ in June, 2013 and was a member of First Baptist Church in Mayflower. He was an avid deer hunter who loved his family, friends. He will be greatly missed by everyone. Those remaining to cherish his memory are, his wife, Tamra Gentry; daughter, Kara Gentry Coval and husband Greg of Pennsylvania; son Preston Gentry and wife Sheri of Arlington, Texas, grandchildren: Cody Boggs, of Mayflower, Ark., Bailey and Chase Gentry of Arlington, Texas; brother, Jasper Gentry and wife Norma of Maumelle, Ark.; sister, Bonnie Gentry Sublett of Greenbrier; mother-in-law, Ann Harris; brothers-in-law, Gary Harris and wife Luola; Marc Stacy and wife Kay, Wayne Shadell and wife Janet and David Frizzell and wife Sheila and Donnie Sturgeon and wife Judy; sister-in-law, Wanda York; step-sons, Jerry and Jamie Johnson of San Antonio, Texas; seven step-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Nathan was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Judy Harris Gentry; sisters, Goldie Muse and Iris Ramey and brothers-in-law Lloyd Sublett and Floyd Ramey. Services will be held at 1 p.m., on Friday, June 14, at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway with Bro. David Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Mayflower Cemetery.
