Mr. LaVern George Kleman 85, of Fairfield Bay, Arkansas left this earth Friday, June 21, 2013. He was born May 23, 1927 at Dimmitt, Texas the son of Arthur and Loretta (Wagner) Kleman. Vern, as he was called, entered the Navy after High School and served four years. He owned his own business for many years but gave it up to work for Insta-Pro which dealt in the cotton industry in Des Moines, Iowa. Vern was very successful in bringing innovations to Insta-Pro and worked there for 28 years. In 2001, Vern and his wife Karen moved to Fairfield Bay. He was a member of St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and the Lions Club. He is survived by his wife Karen, his children Bill (Marilyn) and Sister Mary of the Angels, granddaughter, Dana Snyder (Matt) and great grandson, Jason Snyder, stepson, Kelly Cooper; his sisters, Agnes Schilling, Leola Ramaekers, his brothers, Carl Dean (Mary), Alphenas (Viola). He was blessed with a great many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Bernard, Elmer and Urban. Family will gather with friends 4-6 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2013 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel Clinton, Arkansas. Memorial Mass will be 10:00am Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church Fairfield Bay, Arkansas. Private Family Inurnment at Woodland Memorial Park Fairfield Bay, Arkansas.
