Jo Ann Woodall of Dardanelle, Ark., 76, passed away February 23, 2013. She was born on February 18, 1937, in Hot Springs, Ark. to Earl Ray Appleton and Mary Margaret Tolson Appleton. Jo Ann (Jody Appleton) graduated from Hot Springs High School in 1955. On November 7, 1955, she married the love of her life the late Jim L. Woodall, where they moved together to several places before residing in Dardanelle in 1963. Jo Ann was an avid golfer, and a member of the Ladies Golf League for several years. She loved art in all different mediums, and was often ahead of her time in concepts and designs. She was passionate about her grandchildren, sharing both in their accomplishments and their dreams. She loved her many close friends, Monday night cards, and any social occasion. Jo Ann had a great passion for life, and will be greatly missed by all. Jo Ann is survived by daughter Viki Woodall Marvin (Mark) of Idaho Falls, Idaho; son, Christopher Ray Woodall of Little Rock, Ark.; four grandchildren; Kendall Christen Marvin, Trent Marvin, Hayden Woodall, and Griffin Woodall; her sister Mary Ann Golden (Donnie) of Hot Springs, Ark.; and several nieces and nephews. The family is under the care of Cornwell Funeral Home in Dardanelle, Ark. A celebration of life for Jo Ann will be held at a later date. In honor of Jo Ann's love of animals, and her beloved cats, Cinnamon and Ginger, please make donations to your local Humane Society.
