Beverly Jean Chase Washington

Beverly Jean Chase Washington, age 76, of Jacksonville, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, February 26, 2013. She was born January 31, 1937 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to the late Walter and Ollie Belle Chase and her mother Virginia Smith. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was preceded in death by her son, Thomas E. Washington, aunt, Ardessie Prophet, and one brother Billy Powers. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Thomas Washington, children; Kathi Newton and her husband Willie, Ann Washington, Yolanda Ragland, Beverly Erica Butler and her husband Chris, Craig L. Washington and his wife Christina, siblings; Edward Smith, Wilbert Smith, Walter Chase Jr., Horace Chase, Ardessie Francois, and three dear friends; Carolyn Wood, Vermond Fisher, and Lula Dewese. She is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and other family and friends. Funeral services will be 9 a.m. Friday, March 8, 2013 at St. Joe Missionary Baptist Church, 807 Brownlee Avenue, North Little Rock, Arkansas with Reverend Monteith Colclough officiating. Interment will follow in Arkansas State Veteran's Cemetery in North Little Rock. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home.
