Charles Stepp

Charles R. Stapp of Austin, Arkansas was born October 25, 1940 in Franklin Parish, Louisiana and passed away on Tuesday, March 5th, 2013. He is preceded in death by his father C.J. Stapp. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Charlotte, and his children, Kim Stapp Carnation and Michael Stapp (Tracey) all of Austin, Arkansas. Other survivors include his mother, Inita Mae Stapp, his sister, Lula Mae Glass (Joe) and his brother, Calvin James Stapp (Debra) all of Rayville, Louisiana, his grandchildren, Danielle Stapp Adams, Hannah Carnation and Michael Stapp ll, as well as his great-grandchildren, Courtney, Caden and Carrigan Adams. Mr. Stapp was a long time member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Cabot and was a devoted family man who enjoyed camping and family activities. He worked as a locomotive engineer at Union Pacific Rail Road for 43 years retiring in 2002. He served as past president of the BLE union Local #182. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 7th, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home in North Little Rock with a graveside service at 9 a.m. on Friday, March 8th, 2013 in Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Memorial Park. www.griffinleggettresthills.com.
