ELGIE SCRUGGS, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Hospice Home Care in Little Rock, Ark. He was born July 20, 1921 in Tupelo, Miss. He was a retired florist, an Army veteran of WWII, a Mason, a Shriner and of the Methodist faith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edythe Scruggs, and his daughter, Carol "Cricket" Hargrove. He is survived by his daughter, Lynda S. Louthian (Robert) and his son, David B. Scruggs (Clare) all of Little Rock. He also leaves behind six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Alexander, Ark. with Reverend Rick Jaggars officiating. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Pulaski County Humane Society, 14600 Colonel Glenn Road, Little Rock, Ark. 72210.
