Velma Louise Smith 90, of Greenbrier, Ark. passed away Sunday, March 10, 2013. She was born on August 27, 1922 in Clearview, OK to the late Dolphus and Iola Green. She is preceded in death by her husband Artie C. Smith and son Vernon E. Smith and three grandchildren, Lori Frazier, Chris Smith and Errin Smith. To mourn her passing, she leaves, six daughters, Helen M. Kelley of Aurora. Ill., Margaret Stuckey of Dallas, Texas, Juanelle (Jeff) Buyck of Flint, Mich., Vivian Allison of St, Louis, Mo., Verla Smith of Greenbrier, and Hester (Brian) Collins of Santa Rosa, Calif.; four sons, Leonard (Mary) Kelley of Cleveland, Ohio, Albert (Anna) Smith of Conway, Kenneth (Debra) Smith of Conway and Thomas (Paula) Smith of Naperville, Ill.; 27 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and four great great- grandchildren, and one sister, Geneva Davis of Kansas, Mo. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Velma was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and most of all a great friend to all. Funeral Services will be Friday, March 15th at 1 p.m. at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway (501-327-7727), with Pastor Namon Goff officiating and Eulogy by Rev. James E. Tyus. Interment following at Mt. Grove Cemetery in Greenbrier. Visitation is from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Friday.
