Ellis Glenn Horner Jr.

Ellis Glenn Horner, Jr., 58, of Little Rock, passed away March 10, 2013 at his home. Ellis grew up in Blytheville, Arkansas. He graduated from Blytheville High School and attended the University of Arkansas. He worked with his father in Horner Financial Services before moving to Little Rock. Ellis experienced a long and successful career in the insurance industry. He founded his own firm, Advisor Insurance Services, in 2004. As a life insurance specialist, he was well-respected by investment advisors and their clients around Arkansas and the mid-south. A true professional, Ellis was asked to help with the most difficult cases and his expert knowledge and honesty were a gift to the profession. Ellis was preceded in death by his father, Ellis Glenn Horner, and is survived by his mother, Joan Perkins Horner; his sister Jane Johnson and her husband Joe; his brother Joe Horner, his wife Annette and their children Denise and Jay. He leaves a much loved friend Jan Toler Woody and her daughter Ashley Woody. Ellis loved Ashley's children, Payton and Kade. He also leaves an uncle Rance Perkins and his wife Martha; and cousins Jennifer Perkins and Charlotte Caroom, her husband Scotty and their children Sydney, Alex and Ely. Ellis loved fly fishing on the Little Red and White Rivers with friend Mark Falkoff and playing poker with his poker buddies. Visitation will be held at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Arkansas, (501) 224-8300, Wednesday, March 13, 2013 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Memorial services will be held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 14, 2013 at the funeral home.
