BENNIE RICHARD HUTCHESON, 68, of North Little Rock, passed away Friday, March 15, 2013, from complications of pancreatic neuroendocrine cancer. He was born March 12, 1945 in Magnolia, Ark. to the late Bennie Dick Hutcheson and Glenda Gunnels Hutcheson. He graduated from SAU in Magnolia in 1968 with a business degree. Bennie worked for Fireman's Fund Insurance Company for 32 years. He started in claims and assumed positions in marketing and underwriting. He helped establish a new Farm and Ranch Department and was the farm manager from the mid 70s to the mid 80s. In the late 80's he became the sales manager. In 1990 he was promoted to branch manager and served in this capacity for 10 years. In 2001 he opened the Arkansas branch of Deep South Surplus of Texas and served as general manager until his retirement in July, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Ann Hutcheson; daughter, Amy (Kevin) Vent; grandson, Vaden Vent; sisters, Melba (Ron) Woodard and Jane Hutcheson of Magnolia; brothers, Fred (Teresa) Hutcheson of Emerson and Jimmy (Sherri) Hutcheson and Rick (Jan) Hutcheson of Magnolia. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Griffin Leggett - Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock on Tuesday, March 19, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Craig Loibner officiating. Interment to follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park, North Little Rock. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, March 18, at the funeral home.
