Floyd Lincoln Arnold

Floyd Lincoln "Dick" Arnold, 91, a resident of Pine Bluff, died Monday, March 18, 2013, at his home in Pine Bluff. Born February 24, 1922, in Millville, Arkansas, he was a son of Lee and Blanche Craig Arnold. Mr. Arnold was reared and received his early education in Bearden. He was a 1940 graduate of Bearden High School. Mr. Arnold was a United States Navy veteran of World War, II. Floyd Lincoln Arnold married Marie George on September 23, 1951, in Ilmo, Missouri. Mr. Arnold worked as a train inspector for the Cotton Belt Railroad for fourty-three years, retiring on February 28, 1983. He was a long-time member of First Baptist Church in Pine Bluff, and also served as a deacon at the church. He was a 32nd degree Mason and belonged to the Grand Lodge Harold O. Grauel Lodge # 672 of Missouri. Mr. Arnold was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Boyd Arnold, Bernice Arnold, and J.W. Arnold; one sister, Dorothy Morrison. Survivors include his wife of s61 years, Marie Arnold of Pine Bluff; two nieces, Betty Lou Arnold of Camden, and Nettie Morrison of Bend, Oregon. The visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 21, 2013, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Reverend Ken Thornton officiating.
