Freda Welling Carpenter

Freda Welling Carpenter, 89, of Little Rock passed away Saturday, March 16, 2013. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Smith and Vickie Nell Trogden (Mike); son and daughter-in-law, Gary Wayne Carpenter (Lou Ann); seven grandchildren, Preston Trogden (Christen), Matthew Trogden (Lorrie), Becky Thomas (Rick), Aaron Bryles, Fred Bryles, Kristy Cardinal (Brad) and Keri Dixon (Donnie); twelve great-grandchildren; and siblings, Glenn Welling, Gene Welling, Rosalee Edgar and Viola Puckett. She was preceded in death by her husband, Preston Laron Carpenter; parents, Fred and Beulah Scoggins Welling; and two brothers, Earl and Freddy Welling. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice, 14 Parkstone Circle, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72116. A graveside service will be held 11: a.m., Monday at Little Rock National Cemetery.
