Madie Ann Tedford Glover was born April 9, 1914, to the late Emmett and Ellen Tedford in Bethlehem Community, Lonoke County, Ark. She was 98 years old and went to be with her Lord on March 22, 2013. She was a member of Sardis United Methodist Church. She and her late husband E.E. "Sport" Glover, were successful owners of small country grocery stores. She is survived by a son, Eddie (Debbie) Glover of Conway and a daughter, Carolyn (Roy) Pickett of East End Community; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Madie was a light to all she met and a helpful servant for the Lord. Her father wanted a boy since he had two girls. She helped in all the farm activities and was excellent with horses, and mules, thus, her father called her "Bill." All of her nieces and nephews have always called her "Aunt Bill." We want to thank everyone of South Ridge Village Assisted Living for the excellent way they have taken care of Madie. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2013 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Salem Cemetery in Lonoke County. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time on Monday. Arrangements by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home & Crematory (501) 982-2136.
