Don Harold Richey

Don Harold Richey, 89, of Benton, passed away March 27, 2013. He was born May 30, 1923 in Benton to the late Charlie and Nettie Richey. Don worked for Reynolds Metal Corp and was an avid Fox Hunter. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Wilma Richey. He is survived by his daughters, Janis Boersma and Donna Corballis and husband, Tim. Don was past president of the South Arkansas Fox Hunters Association. He owned and bred a dog that has won every major championship in the United States. His dogs have won the International Championship, the All American Open and the Texas Open. A Memorial service will be held Friday, March 29th at Four Seasons Assisted Living in Benton at 10 a.m. with visitation before services at 9 a.m. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Stone, Mike Funderburk, Dickie Tucker, Richie Tucker, Brian Heffner, David Maust, Wesley Cady and Misty Wright. The family would like to thank all his wonderful friends at the Benton Senior Citizens and caregivers at Stoneybrook and Four Seasons, especially Misty Wright, Kesha Jewitt, Linda Lanier and Gene Klotz of Benton for their love and care.
