Lynda Karen Blaney

Lynda Karen Blaney, age 59, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at her home. Born in Searcy, Arkansas, on March 29, 1953, she was the daughter of Glenda Lowery Pratt and the late Paul Pratt. Lynda received her Masters in Political Science, Bachelors of Political Science and Bachelors of Sociology from Arkansas State University. She was an employee of the State of Arkansas for 28 years and was a supervisor with the Department of Human Services. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Lynn Pratt. Lynda is survived by her husband, Ray Blaney of Heber Springs; one son, Patrick Blaney of Little Rock; one daughter, Jennifer Blaney of Jonesboro; her mother, Glenda Pratt of Velvet Ridge; one niece, Tonya Smith of Dallas, Texas; and a host of other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 30, at 2 p.m. in the Olmstead Chapel. www.olmstead.cc.
