Dorothy Louise Fields Schenebeck

Mrs. Dorothy Louise Fields Schenebeck died on March 28, 2013. She was born January 22, 1928 to Hattie and Nolan Fields. She survived five brothers and sisters. Mrs. Schenebeck was the widow of J. Eric Schenebeck, longtime mayor of Lonoke. She grew up in White County, Arkansas and was a graduate of Beebe High School and attended Beebe Junior College. She was the Past President of the following: Little Rock Departmental Club, Women's City Club, Central Arkansas Iris Society (maintains and oversees two Iris gardens on the State Capitol grounds). She was also a past board member of the North Little Rock Woman's Club and the North Little Rock Salvation Army. She was an active member of The First Assembly of God Church in North Little Rock serving on Newcomer's ministry and Leader of Prayer. She was an avid gardener and known for her generosity in sharing the fruits of her labor. She is survived by her daughter, Sheila E. Kolb of Alexandria, Virginia; her stepsons, Gerald Schenebeck of Lonoke; Jimmy Schenebeck of North Little Rock; stepdaughter Paula Schenebeck of North Little Rock; her special nieces Pat Cass of Cabot and Carolyn Utley of Beebe and six nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2013 at First Assembly of God Church, North Little Rock with visitation beginning one hour prior to service. Interment will be in Butlerville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the First Assembly of God, Fire Bible Mission, c/o First Assembly of God, Memo Line: Fire Bible-Dorothy Schenebeck, 4501 Burrow Drive, North Little Rock, Ark. 72116.
