ALICE LOUISE WALLACE KELLY, 95, a Little Rock resident for over 60 years, died March 26, 2013 in Norman, Okla. She was born Jan. 3, 1918 in Memphis, Tenn., and her family soon moved to Arkansas. She graduated from Hope High School and attended Henderson State University and the University of Memphis. In Little Rock, she was a secretary-stenographer for the USF & G and Dixie Culvert Manufacturing companies. Alice was a leader in the P.E.O. Sisterhood, the Pulaski County Extension Homemakers Club, and the Gardenia Garden Club. A dedicated member of First United Methodist Church for seven decades, she served on its Board of Stewards, was president of the United Methodist Women, and helped found a Sunday School class and a women's circle. She is survived by her sons Clark Kelly of Norman, Okla.; Allen Kelly of Pass Christian, Miss.; Larry Kelly of Ozark, Ark.; grandchildren Daniel, Cullen, Kenneth, William, Miriam, Emma and Andrew Kelly; and great grandchildren Caleb, Jack and Drew Kelly. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Harold Clark Kelly; her parents John Allen Wallace and Virginia Mae Crone; and her brothers John, Thomas, David, William, Robert, Claude and Arthur Wallace. There will be a service celebrating Alice's life at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 2 at First United Methodist Church of Little Rock. Burial will be at Pinecrest Memorial Park, under direction of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth. Memorials may be made to the Alice Kelly Memorial Fund at First United Methodist Church, 723 Center Street, Little Rock, AR 72201.
