Sybil Eubanks Ussery, 92, of Bryant passed away on May 3, 2013. She was born on June 7, 1920 to the late Guy W. and Vera Sayer Eubanks in Quanah, Texas. Sybil was known by many names; Mother, Sister, Meemaw, GiGi and Friend. These names exemplified who she was, her unselfish love for her sons and how she gave of her time and money to help others. She crocheted caps for newborns at Arkansas Children's Hospital; she painted, she made custom cards for family and special friends. But most of all, she loved blackberry cobbler and her family and treasured the time she spent with them. Sybil was a member of Baseline Christian Church in Little Rock. She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Vera Eubanks; her husband, Doyne F. Ussery Sr. and her son Doyne F. Ussery Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Woody (Sharon) Ussery of Little Rock and Guy (Cindy) of Orland, Calif.; her daughter-in-law, Dorothy Ussery of Little Rock; her sister, Mildred McAllister; her five grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter and a host of family and friends, all who will miss her dearly. Memorials may be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church Food Pantry, 2200 Merritt Road, Greenbrier, Ark. 72058. Funeral services will be on Monday, May 6 at 10 a.m. in the chapel at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home, 10200 Hwy 5 North, Alexander, Ark. 72002 (501)455-1067. Brother Dave Hughey will officiate. Burial will be at 1 p.m. at Rushing Cemetery near Dover, Ark. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. prior to the service on Monday, May 6.
