Johnnie Vahnita Delaney Wilson

Johnnie Vahnita Delaney Wilson, 95 passed away Saturday, May 4, 2013 at her home in Magnolia. Vahnita was born August 3, 1917 in Pike County, Ark.; married Ralph Wilson in 1940; and they had four children. She was a homemaker and gardener, an active member of Jackson Street Church of Christ in Magnolia, Hospital Auxiliary (46 years of service), Magnolia Extension Homemakers Club, and Retired Teachers Association. She was well known for her yeast rolls and "homemade pies." She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Ralph Wilson. Survivors are her children Lynda Aggus (Larry), Kay Bevis (Bill), Bill Wilson (Gillian), and Wayne Wilson; grandchildren Bret Aggus (Erika), Karen Pardue (Michel), Chuck Pope (Leah), and Kaycee Pepper (Todd); great-grandchildren Henry and Nelson Aggus, Joseph and Jacob Pardue, Helen Pope, and Shane and Spencer Pepper. She will also be missed by a host of friends and relatives. Visitation will be held at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, May 8 beginning at 9 a.m. with funeral service following at 10 a.m. Graveside services will follow at Sweet Home Cemetery in Prescott, Ark. at 2 p.m. under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Magnolia. Pallbearers will be Bret Aggus, Chuck Pope, Todd Pepper, Shane Pepper, Terry Hastings, and Steve Lance.
