Marie Cross

Marie Cross, age 86, of Jacksonville, went to be with her Lord on Monday, May 6, 2013. She was born April 4, 1927 in Ranger, Arkansas to the late John William and Amanda Leora Ashlin. She was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church in Jacksonville for over 50 years, and was very active in the Friendship Class and Mary Martha Circle. Mrs. Cross was a loving mother, grandmother, and avid gardener. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Cross, and two sons, Charles Cross, and Harold Cross. She is survived by her son Tom Cross and his wife Pat, one daughter Laurie Staver and her husband Phil, one sister Mary Larkin of Cabot, 11 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 9, 2013 at First United Methodist Church in Jacksonville with Rev. Mark McDonald officiating. Interment will follow in Bayou Meto Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 308 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas 72076.
