Alfred Owens, Sr.

Alfred Owens, Sr., 99, passed away Monday May 6, 2013. He was born October 16, 1913, in the Wrightsville community of Pulaski County, the son of Will and Lillie Jackson Owens. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 71years, Marion Harris Owens; daughter, Barbara Owens Johnson; two brothers and seven sisters. He is survived by three sons, Alfred Owens, Jr. and Tony (Everlena) Owens of Little Rock; Phillip Owens of Grand Prairie, Texas; daughter, Sandra Owens of Little Rock; grandchildren, Gregory Johnson, Michael Johnson, Tara Owens, Corie Malone, Tylena Brown and Marian Owens; sister, Ernestine Ramsey-Wooten of Berkeley, Calif. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 10, 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Higgins, 9700 Hwy 365 S. Family hour will be today, 6-7 p.m., at Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 S.
