Dr. Christopher Shane Fulmer, 44, of Conway, Arl. died peacefully in his home on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, after a courageous battle with brain cancer. His loving family surrounded him as he went to be with his Lord and Savior. He was born on July 24, 1968, in Modesto, California to parents Karen Kinard Fulmer and Jack Coleman Fulmer. He was a life-long resident of Conway, Arkansas, and a graduate of Conway High School. After completing a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Central Arkansas, he attended the University of Tennessee School of Dentistry. After earning his Doctorate of Dental Science degree with honors in 1995, he and his family returned to Conway and established Fulmer Dental Clinic. Shane is survived by his wife of 21 years, Stacy Chudy Fulmer; children, Christopher Ross and Lauren Elizabeth; parents, Karen Fulmer of Conway, Jack Fulmer (Carol) of Heber Springs; brother, Chad Coleman Fulmer (Mattie) of Wooster; grandparents, Curtis Coleman and Mary Brown Fulmer of Conway, Alva Dorothy "Dot" Able Kinard of Jonesboro; and his adoring extended family and friends. His grandfather, Odie Everett Kinard of Grubbs, Ark., preceded him in death . Shane was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish on family land. He qualified for his first world duck calling championship by winning the Mack's Regional in 2005. He spent many of his leisure hours playing golf with family and friends. Shane was also a very talented musician and loved to entertain with his gift of song and playing the guitar. Shane was a member of the Woodland Heights Baptist Church, American Dental Association, Arkansas State Dental Association, and Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Woodland Heights Baptist Church in Conway. Funeral services will immediately follow with Brother David Hatfield officiating. Burial will be at Crestlawn Cemetery in Conway. Pallbearers will be Eric Bailey, Ladd Ellis, Jim Fulmer, Pat Fulmer, Paul Kostecky, Bobby Parker, David St. John, and Mark Williams. Honorary pallbearers are the men of Sigma Tau Gamma, Sigma Chapter at the University of Central Arkansas. Shane's online guestbook is available at www.rollerfuneralhomes.com.
