Madie Evelyn Tolliver Rhoads, 95, entered the Heavenly gates on May 6, 2013. She arrived in this world January 31, 1918, in North Little Rock. She is preceded in death by her parents Sam and Aria Tolliver; brother, Delphia Tolliver; her husband and love of her life, Dorris L. "Dusty" Rhoads; an infant daughter, Sandra Kay Rhoads and her grandson, Thomas Lee Rhoads. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior in 1933 and joined Levy Baptist Church where she served in many areas for her entire life. She retired from the North Little Rock School District and was an active member of the Arkansas Teacher's Association. She is survived by her sons, Bill (GeorgeAnn) Rhoads and Rodger (Jan) Rhoads; granddaughters, Cookie Brown (Bruce), Jennifer Rhoads; grandson, Brooks (Elizabeth) Rhoads; granddaughter-in-law, Renee Rhoads; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; a very special sister-in-law, Martha Jean Rhoads; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special and wonderful friends. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Friday at Levy Baptist Church. Burial will be in Edgewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 9 to 10 a.m., Friday at the church.
