JULIA KAY PARKER (JUDY) WOOD of Little Rock joined her beloved husband, David, in Heaven on Friday, May 10, 2013. She is survived by a daughter, Jana; a grandson, Jason Greenbaum; a brother, Jimmy "Red" Parker; nieces, Vicki Wallace and Cindy (Herman) Yoos; and a nephew, Jim Mack (Robin) Parker; as well as great- and great-great nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by her daughter, Kelley, and grandson, Joshua Greenbaum. Judy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. A graduate of Henderson State University, she enjoyed dancing, her family, Razorback sports, and any team coached by her big brother. Judy was an avid golfer, and her golfing buddies were second family to her. Judy's golfing accomplishments include not one, but two, holes-in-one. Judy and David played courses throughout the country, frequently as partners in tournaments and club scrambles. Judy became the first woman to play in a tournament hosted at the Arkansas Home Builders' annual convention when organizers discovered they were one "man" short of a full field. They granted David's request that she be allowed to play with the provision she would be his partner. They won the tournament. She was most recently employed at the Pulaski County Medical Exchange and built many good friendships with her co-workers there. The family is extremely grateful for the tender care Judy received from the entire staff at Arkansas Hospice, and for her team of doctors — Dr. McCracken, Dr. Joheim, Dr. Girard, Dr. Siddiq, and her hero, Dr. Kayoli. The family asks that donations be made in Judy's name to the animal rescue organization, CARE, or to St. James Methodist Church in Little Rock. Arrangements provided by Dial and Dudley Funeral Home.
