Mildred E. Flanagan Thomas passed away Sunday, May 12, 2013 at the age of 94. She was born July 19, 1918 in Centerville, Ark. to the late John and Elizabeth Henderson. She was a homemaker and later worked and retired from Winburn Tile Manufacturing Co. She loved gardening and at one time had over 50 rose bushes. Mildred is preceded in death by her first husband of 44 years, Glenn H. Flanagan; son, Robert Glendon Flanagan; four sisters and two brothers, as well as her second husband of 10 years, Lexter Thomas. She is survived by two daughters: Patsy Williams (Roy) of Hot Springs and Janice Sullivan (Patrick) of Little Rock; grandson, Brian Williams (Reggie) and three great-grandchildren Brianna, Benjamin, and Chloe, all of El Dorado Hills, Calif.; step-granddaughter, Shannon Marsden (Bert) and two step-great-grandchildren, Sidney and Colby of Castle Rock, Colo. She was of the Baptist faith, and a long-time member of 47th Baptist Church in Levy. Graveside funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 16, 2013 at McNew Cemetery, Greenbrier. The family wishes to thank the staff at Robinson Rehab and Nursing for their wonderful care. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society or a charity of your choice.
