James Palmer Payte

James Palmer Payte, age 77, of Hot Springs, died Monday, May 13, 2013. He was born July 10, 1935, at Mount Tabor, the son of Olen Payte and Willie May Lackey Payte. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Richard "Sonny" Payte; and his nephew, Mike Reppo. He was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from Entergy. Survivors include his wife, Sue Payte of Hot Springs; his daughter and son-in-law, Jamie and Todd Pearce of Hot Springs; two brothers, Johnny (Gayla) Payte of Hooks, Texas and Joey (Charlene) Payte of Glenwood; two sisters, Eudeana (Gerald) McCormick of Little Rock and Naomi (Jimmy) Reppo of Glenwood; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood with Pastor Brandon Westgate officiating. Interment with military honors will be in the Mount Tabor Cemetery.
