Bill Norsworthy

Mr. Bill Norsworthy, 65, of Portland, died Thursday, May 9, 2013 at the University of Arkansas for Medical Science in Little Rock. Mr. Norsworthy was a native of Portland and a resident for most of his life. He graduated from Portland High School in 1965 and from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 1969 where he was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. He was a Real Estate Developer and served on the Arkansas Contractors Licensing Board and the Arkansas Home Builders Board. He was a very active member of the Portland United Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, W.H. "Hamp" & Ida Mae Gregory Norsworthy. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Pat Blackwell Norsworthy; a sister, Nancy Norsworthy both of Portland; a close dear friend, Clayton Stephens and wife, Gail, of Monticello and their sons, Bill & Chuck Stephens; two nephews, Trey Moyers and wife, Tresa, Greg Moyers and wife Meagan; a niece, Rosanne Wells and husband, Nelson, four great-nephews and two great-nieces. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the Portland United Methodist Church with Rev. Terri Lynn Bunnell and Dr. Phil Worley officiating. The family will be receiving friends in the fellowship hall following the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Portland United Methodist Church, P.O.
