Virginia Lee Vantrease

Virginia Lee Vantrease, 85, passed away May 12, 2013 in Edmond, Okla. after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Virginia was born in Jeffersonville, Ind., on March 20, 1928 to L.S. and Beulah Branum Swisher. Virginia married W.H. Vantrease Jr. on January 2, 1947. She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Bruce of Austin, Texas; Sandy Mleko and husband, David, of Edmond, Okla.; her granddaughter, Christy Petray of Austin, Texas; two sisters, Lena Biser and Linda Kirkpatrick of Dallas, Texas; and brother, David Swisher of Jacksonville, Fla. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, W.H. Vantrease Jr., her parents; her brother, Dutch Swisher, and her sisters: Betty Robbins, Beulah Burnett, Ruby Jane Starkey, and Mary Ellen Hoff. Visitation will be Friday, May 17, 2013 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at JA Funk Funeral Home, in Malvern. Funeral Services will take place Saturday, May 18, at 2:00 at JA Funk Funeral Home.
