Oran Dale Green

Mr. Oran Dale Green 79, of Shirley, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2013. He was born April 25, 1934 at Turkey Creek, Arkansas to the late Willis Leslie and Altha (Hinesley) Green. Oran loved the farm and his horses and cows, having begun farming by purchasing his first animals while still in high school. He added to that the love of the livestock auction where he worked at many auctions around the state for over 52 years. The joy of his life were his grandchildren and great-grandchildren who kept him busy after retirement and his wife of 55 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Hayden and Erin Green, several sisters and brothers-in-law, and two nephews. He is survived by his loving wife Teresa (Richardson) Green of the home, son, Tom Green (Melinda) of Dolph, Ark.; and a daughter, Dale (Terry) Tice of Fairfield Bay, Ark.; four grandchildren, Leslie (Willy) Saravia of Dallas, Texas; Kara (Derek) McBroom of Shirley, Ark.; Justin (Candice) Green of Shirley, Ark.; and Lana Jason of Dolph, Ark.; seven great-grandchildren, Lauren, Luke, Lynsee, Shane, and Sabrina McBroom, and Laycee and Rylee Green, sister, Lorene Stanley of Wellsville, Kan.; two brothers, Doyle Green (Elvina) of Mt View, Ark.; and Hershel Green (Pat) of Pacific, Mo.; two sisters-in-law, Alice (Walt) Moore and Jean (Joe) Johnson, two brothers-in-law, Tom (Alta) Richardson, and Dub (Judi) Richardson, and special cousin Loyce Green and many step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, cousins, neices, nephews, aunt Nellie Green, and a host of friends. Pallbearers: Douglas Green, Albert McCombs, Dennis Martin, J.W. Yates, Doyle Hall, Tommy Rand, and Mack Litaker. Honorary Pallbearers: Jack Simpkins, Lane Brown, Melvin Evans, Mike Nix, Dan Eoff, and Jerry Foley. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2013 and Funeral Service will be 10:00am Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel Clinton, Arkansas with Pastor Stan Sutterfield and Floyd Wadkins officiating.
