Dorothy Daniels Medcalf

Graveside services for Dorothy Daniels Medcalf, 94, of Noble, Okla., formerly of Crossett and Benton, Ark. will be held Tuesday, May 28 at 1 p.m. at Crossroad Cemetery in Crossett. Nephew, Andrew Meacham will officiate. Mrs. Medcalf passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home on Tuesday, May 21, 2013. She was born on May 10, 1919 in Ashley County to John Abner "Abb" and Maude Ann Parker Daniels. She married Forrest Scott Medcalf on Feb. 13, 1937. He preceded her in death on Nov. 18, 1997. Mrs. Medcalf was an inventory secretary for Verson Allsteel Press Co. in Dallas, Texas until her retirement. She lived in Crossett, Ark. From 1983-1992 when she and her husband moved to Benton to be near their great niece, Debbie, whom they loved as their own. Mrs. Medcalf moved with Debbie to Noble, Okla. in July 2006 where she lived until her death. She was a hospital auxiliary volunteer at Ashley Memorial Hospital in Crossett and Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton. Survivors include her great-niece, Debra (Debbie) Daniels Meacham of Noble, Okla., formerly of Benton, Ark.; great-great-nephews, Andrew Scott Meacham of Noble, Okla., formerly of Benton and Jacob Daniel Meacham, of Noble, Okla., formerly of Benton, as well as many other nieces and nephews who were very near and dear to her heart.
