Joseph William (J.W.) Murphy, 63, peacefully passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Springlake Long Term Care. J.W. was born in Texas City, Texas and moved to Collegeville, Ark. with his wife Patti Clawitter Murphy 35 years ago. He is survived by his wife, Patti Murphy; two sons, Joseph Patrick Murphy and Stephen Ryan Murphy; daughter-in-law, Emiley Erb Murphy and two grandchildren, James Alexander and Eden Lorraine Murphy. He is also survived by his sister, Sherry Murphy Martin and her husband, Tom and three nephews, Timothy Martin, Kevin Martin, and Tucker Murphy and one niece, Riley Murphy. He also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, great nieces, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Hughes and Elizabeth (Betty) Sutton Murphy, and his brother, Carl Hughes Murphy Jr., all of Texas City, Texas. Aulds Funeral Home of Shreveport, La. is in charge of arrangements. There will be no visitation. A memorial service is planned for a later date.
