Josephine Aydelott Fontaine

JOSEPHINE AYDELOTT FONTAINE passed away on May 24, 2013. She was born Feb. 22, 1918 in Brasfield, Ark., to the late Herbert R. Aydelott and Louise Vaden Aydelott. The family moved to Little Rock where she graduated from Little Rock Central High School, Little Rock Junior College and attended Louisiana State University where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority. She was a charter member of Westover Hills Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles C. Fontaine; her son in law, Gary E. Johnson and her brother, Alfred Aydelott. She is survived by two daughters, Josephine F. Johnson of North Little Rock, Sally F. Carter and her husband, Bill of Little Rock; four grandchildren, Kristen J. Hewitt and her husband, David of Houston, Texas, Karen Johnson of North Little Rock, Charles A. Carter and wife, Carrie, and Cary C. Collins and husband, Nick of Little Rock; six grandchildren, Josephine, Carter, and Lindsay Collins, Caroline, Annie, and Charlie Carter all of Little Rock; Olivia and Garrett Hewitt of Houston, Texas; two nephews, Alfred Aydelott III of Boston, Mass. and Martin Aydelott of Minneapolis, Minn. Granny loved her family and lived life on her own terms until the very end. A memorial service will be held at Westover Hills Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, May 28 at 10 a.m. with a visitation following. Memorials may be made to Westover Hills Presbyterian Church.
