Dorothy Louise Hammack

Dorothy Louise (Sloan) Hammack, 81, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, May 26, 2013 at the White County Medical Center in Searcy. She was born in Bethpage, Tennessee April 24, 1932 a daughter of the late Harrison and Toy Cook Sloan. She was a member of the Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Drasco and was the widow of M.V. Hammack who preceded her in death in 2007. Mrs. Hammack retired from the Central Arkansas General Hospital after serving more than 20 years as a nurse, a profession she truly loved. She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Brock (Reid) of Velvet Ridge, Teresa Lucas (Mike) of Franklin, Indiana and Beverly Wilkerson (Bobby) of Cave City; 8 grandchildren, Johnny Reid Brock, LeAnn Dyson, Jared Brock, Rachel Adams, Shawn Chumbley, Shane Chumbley, Derek Chumbley and Caleb Wilkerson; 18 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Waldean Sloan (Frances) of Indiana; three sisters, Lillian Guyer (Rich), Joyce Wims (Harold) and Wanda Rogers (Raymond) all of Tennessee; sister-in-law, Dorothy Knight of Kentucky. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 2 p.m. at the Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Drasco with Bro. David Webb officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service, beginning at 12 noon. Interment will follow in the Hope Cemetery located on the church property.
