J.B. Duff

J.B. Duff, 81, of Hot Springs passed away May 27, 2013. He was born October 23, 1931 in Little Rock to Bill and Sally Duff. J.B. was a U.S. Army veteran. He owned a service station in Little Rock for over 30 years. He then built and operated Duff Grocery near Lake Ouachita. J.B. was a hardworking man of all trades. He also enjoyed his remote control airplanes. J.B. was a devoted family man who was dearly loved and will be deeply missed. He was predeceased by his parents; granddaughter, Monica Leigh Frye; sister, Ola Mae Donnigan, Helen Perry and Thelma Kendrick; and brothers, Jewel Duff, Edgar Duff and Everet Duff. J.B. is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Billie Duff; daughters, Debra Gateley and Jamie Frye; grandchildren, Chay Cochran and Jessica Frye; and great grandchildren, Tanner Summers, Keilee Rhude, Kate Elder and Luke Elder, all of Hot Springs. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Caruth Village Funeral Home with Bros. Jimmie Scott and Harold Elder officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers include Thaddeus Elder, Matthias Elder, Tanner Summers, Gary Harrison, Jim Seamon and Robert Blocker. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
