James Williams

James Robert Williams (JR) of North Little Rock was born February 27th, 1921 and passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2013. He is preceded in death by his parents Will and Amy Williams of Carthage, Arkansas. Mr. Williams was an avid Razorback fan and enjoyed all types of sports including hunting and fishing. He was retired from Southwestern Bell and was a member of the Elks Club #1004. He was a long time member of 1st Presbyterian Church of Argenta since 1965 and served his country in the Army during WWII. Survivors include his loving wife of 67 years Dessie Williams and his children Margaret Lanier (Mike) of Ft. Smith, Charles Williams (Sandi) of North Little Rock and Jim Williams (Betty) of Little Rock; his siblings Ann Watts of North Little Rock, William Williams of Stonyford, Calif. and Amy Wallace of Fordyce as well as six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 30th, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home 7724 Landers Rd in North Little Rock. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 31st, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel.
