Catherine Nienaber, 49, of Kansas City, Kan., died Tuesday, October 29, 2013. The Mass and ceremony of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at St. Vincent DePaul Roman Catholic Church, 3106 Flora, Kansas City, Mo. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 127th and Parallel, Kansas City, Kan. Visitation will be Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the St. Joseph House Chapel 11485 Farley Road, Platte City, Mo. 64079, where the Rosary will be prayed each day at 6 p.m. The family requests contributions to St. Vincent DePaul Church, 3106 Flora Avenue, Kansas City, Mo. Cathy was born October 29, 1964 to Dr. Edwin Barron and Gail Barron Vaughn in Little Rock, Ark. She graduated from Mount St. Mary's High school of Little Rock, Ark. and from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor's Degree, with a major in History and minor in French. Cathy was most proud to be the wife of Steven Nienaber and mother of their nine children. She was an active member of St. Vincent de Paul Church and their community. Cathy is survived by her husband of 25 years, Steven, and their nine beloved children: Thomas, Nicholas, Anne Marie, Jerome, Joseph, Monica, Dominic, Gerard and Gemma, all of the home; her father, Dr. Edwin Barron and wife Bunny Lynn of Little Rock, Ark. and mother, Gail Vaughn of Little Rock, AR; three brothers, Edwin Barron, III of Indianapolis, Ind., Todd Robert Barron of Little Rock, and Nathan Vaughn of McAlester, OK; three sisters, Mary Frances Friedl of Indianapolis, Ind., Jennifer Carr and Whitney Perser, both of Little Rock.
